  We had been wanting to try Magenta for a while, and we finally moseyed in last night. Unbeknownst to us, it was the restaurant's 21st birthday so they threw a huge party that consumed the restaurant. We really wanted to enjoy dinner but they had stopped regular dinner service for the evening to better focus on being good party hosts. And good hosts they were... Bob warmly welcomed us to the party, handed us a round of drinks and a delicious bowl of pasta! The atmosphere and kindness we experienced alone is enough for us to return. We will be back for a table-full of dim sum! Thank you for the fun party!

  I had one good experience with Magenta when it was still located in the Campus area back in 2005.  Have been back three times and been sorely disappointed.  In all cases the problems had nothing to do with the food, which is good (if you get it), 3-4 Star range.  The problem has always been the service.  Since the rude bartender left, the service is not unfriendly but inept.  There is just a lack of organization similar to what you see in a new restaurant during its soft opening.  The wait staff is not sufficient for the number of tables and always seem to be running back and forth in helter-shelter.  My experience has involved, wrong meal, getting my meal 20 - 30 minutes after the others in my party and this last time just not being served after more than an hour after ordering and the rest of our party had finished their meals.
  
  I would not have gone to Magenta but a friend organized a dinner-then-concert and made reservations at Magenta.  Wanted to be respectful and decided I should give Magenta a "4th" chance.  Never again.

  Bit pricey, but they have great service and beautidul ambience. I got a fabulous chckien ginger noodle
  soup and coconut shrimps, and these were very AUTHENTIC Asain fusion foods. The woman cook is definitely a seasoned one and I was surprised at I didn't know about this place for 21 years! I'd like to defitely recommend if you are a Asian food connisseur.

  Fresh, interesting, and very tasty, made in-house potstickers, definitely try the Pupu platter, chef's choice and a chance to taste some talented creations, also excellent cocktails!

  Ok food that is over priced.  Drinks and such are also over priced.  It is a good place to impress your date but your wallet will feel it.
